Purpose of residence: National (enhancing familial relationship or pursuing studies or preserving Hungarian language, tending cultural connections)

Required documents (general)

Copy of valid travel document	Mandatory
Bank statement issued by a Hungarian or foreign financial institution concerning the applicant’s bank account about covering the expenses of travel	Mandatory
Statement of leaving the country voluntarily in case of refusal	Mandatory
If the applicant is a minor of limited capacity, Statement from his/her parents or legal guardian translated to Hungarian or English in form of a private or public agreement (providing full evidence) containing the endorsement of legal staying (for the duration of stay) in Hungary	Mandatory
If a representative conducts the procedure, the authorization/power of attorney	Mandatory

Documents verifying the purpose of residence:

In case the purpose of residence is enhancing familial relationship:

certification attesting familial connection

In case the purpose of residence is pursuing studies:

Certification of enrollment issued by the educational institution

Mandatory

In case the purpose of residence is preserving Hungarian language or tending cultural connections:

Hungarian certificate	And/Or
Certification of membership issued by a Hungarian organization concerned tending Hungarian culture

Documents can be used as proof of subsistence:

a certificate issued by the employer and/or tax authority as proof of regular income	And/Or
bank statement of a Hungarian or foreign bank	And/Or

Please be advised that the above mentioned documents must be enough to verify that the applicant has enough income at disposal for living, residing or leaving Hungary during his/her stay.

Documents proving the existence of Hungarian accommodation:

a residential lease contract in proof of the rental of a residence	Or
a document on accommodation by courtesy	Or
a document in proof of ownership of the residential property, by means of a certified copy of title deed	Or
a notarized statement made by a family member about providing accommodation	Or
documentary evidence to verify the reservation of accommodation and payment	Or
a real estate sales contract and a copy of the decision of the competent Budapest or county government agency granting permission for the acquisition of a real estate property

Please be advised that one of the above mentioned documents must be submitted in order to verify Hungarian accommodation.

Documents proving the existence of comprehensive health insurance:

Copy of Hungarian health insurance card	or
Buisness health insurance entitling you to full health care and a certification confirming the payment of the insurance	or
bank statement about savings covering the health care expenses
