Purpose of residence: Long-term mobility permit for researchers and their family members

Required documents (general)

Copy of valid travel document	Mandatory
Bank statement issued by a Hungarian or foreign financial institution concerning the applicant’s bank account about covering the expenses of travel	Mandatory
Statement of leaving the country voluntarily in case of refusal	Mandatory
If the applicant is a minor of limited capacity, Statement from his/her parents or legal guardian translated to Hungarian or English in form of a private or public agreement (providing full evidence) containing the endorsement of legal staying (for the duration of stay) in Hungary	Mandatory
If a representative conducts the procedure, the authorization/power of attorney	Mandatory

Documents verifying the purpose of residence:

agreement with a Hungarian accredited research organization	Mandatory
plan for the long-term mobility (the length of the plan and all its important date must be highlighted)	Mandatory
copy of the first long-term mobility permit from another state	Mandatory

In case a family member is accompanying:

certificate about the long-term mobility plan, concerning the length of the researcher plan and all its important dates	Mandatory
copy of a valid residence permit that was issued by the first member state considering the family relationship	Mandatory

Documents can be used as proof of subsistence:

income certificate issued by the employer about previous 6 months	And/Or
income certificate issued by the tax authority about previous year	And/Or
a certificate issued by the employer and/or tax authority as proof of regular income received from abroad	And/Or
bank statement from a Hungarian or foreign bank

Please be advised that the above mentioned documents must verify that the applicant has enough income at disposal for living, residing or leaving Hungary during his/her stay.

Documents proving the existence of comprehensive health insurance:

Copy of Hungarian health insurance card	or
Buisness health insurance entitling you to full health care and a certification confirming the payment of the insurance	or
bank statement about savings covering the health care expenses

Please be advised that one of the above mentioned documents must be submitted in order to verify the existence of comprehensive health insurance
