An interim residence card may be issued to a third-country national who is a holder of an EC residence permit certifying long-term residence status granted by any Member State of the European Union, and who wishes to reside in the territory of Hungary

• for the purpose of gainful activity or employment, with the exception of seasonal employment,
• for the pursuit of studies or vocational training; or
• for other, proven purposes.
